Media data analytics firm TAM India has launched a service to monitor advertisements during the Indian Premier League live streaming on the JioCinema app. The service will initially capture ads on smart TVs and connected TVs in Mumbai, though TAM will fetch Android and iOS mobile phone data from Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. The move comes as Viacom18, which won the IPL digital media rights last year, aggressively markets its smart TV homes to advertisers. Smart TV adoption is higher among metro cities? affluent audiences, and smart TVs are becoming the centre of attraction for content producers and advertisers.
