This development bodes well for India’s target of eliminating Malaria by 2030, and is the outcome of various initiatives taken by the Maharashtra health department, including an Information Education and Communication programme to raise awareness about vector-borne diseases like Malaria, and the use of guppy fish to eliminate Anopheles mosquito breeding spots.
