The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology’s textile design graduates showcased their collections at the annual Suvyan 2023 exhibition in Chandigarh, with five students receiving awards for their work. The event saw works from students who spent five months working alongside industrial clients, with a variety of trends and techniques on display, including digital printing and the use of upcycled fabrics. Principal Poonam Aggarwal Thakur said students had worked to international standards, while Shweta Sharma, course coordinator, said the event was a “big platform” for students.
